Victoria has spent her entire adult life immersed in the story space in a way that transcends industry and discipline. With a career that spans 18 years she has become a trusted go-to for those in need of a new way to articulate their ideas who understand that craft is not something you can fake, wing or automate.

Born in Japan on a Leap Year and raised in London, Victoria moved to New York City after graduating from drama school and quickly fell in love with the freedom that writing gave her from competitive audition rooms.

She sharpened her skills as a journalist and producer at leading media platforms including Daily Mail US, New York Post, NY Daily News, MSNBC and Daily Front Row before cementing her reputation as an expert in speechwriting and narrative strategy at The Oratory Laboratory, a boutique creative agency she co-founded with her late husband Nathan Phillips.

At the helm of The OL Victoria developed and deployed a unique creative process that has enabled her to work with individuals and companies across the spectrum of expertise and services at pivotal moments in their life cycle - in celebration, crisis and expansion.

Such vast and varied collaborations include keynotes for leaders from Sony, Warby Parker, West Elm, Virgin Galactic and the NFL; commencement addresses for cultural entertainment icons; coaching for Samsung Unpacked; content strategy for Linked In, Legal Aid and Matrix; technical translation for nuclear non-profits, and script consultation for PBS documentary.

Her pro bono work includes testimony crafted for an expert witness in the Uvalde shooting on Capitol Hill, a eulogy for the victims of Sandy Hook, a widely read manifesto for a #Me Too survivor and a campaign speech for a rising political advocate.

Victoria believes everyone has something worth sharing and is committed to amplifying the voices of those less visible in the public domain.

Her book Before You Say Anything (St Martins Press, 2022) is an homage to the rigor and preparation of writing a great speech but can be used as a guide for anyone looking to communicate their ideas with clarity and originality.

She lives in Brooklyn with her two daughters.
